Questions
FAQs
I love to answer your questions so have at it!
Here are a few for starters:
- Q: Ramona asked, “Are your seeds organic?”
- A: Our seeds are grown organically and are in the process of being certified. They are also certified Kosher and contain no gluten or peanut products
- Q: Dale asked: “I’m type II Diabetic and take your Chia Seeds but don’t know how or when to take to get the most from them Do you have any suggestions as the best time to take, for instance before or after a meal or in between meals?”
- A: One Type 2 diabetic I know takes them in the mornings with a formula that I’ve come up with. His blood sugar levels have been more than stable for the past year. In fact, his doctor told him that he’s never seen anything like it. The doctor has over 600 diabetic patients and the person I mentioned is the ONLY ONE who is NOT ON MEDICATION for the diabetes! That’s pretty powerful, I think. Anyhow, here is what I recommend: Soak 1-2 tablespoons of chia seed in 1 cup of water in the morning before you eat your meal or drink anything else other than water. Be sure to stir the chia seeds continually for about 2-3 minutes so that they won’t stick together. After about 5 minutes, drink the chia seeds and scrape any remaining seeds out of the glass with a spoon. Wait about 10-15 minutes before you eat or drink anything else other than water. You can also add them to oatmeal or other cereals, toss them on salads or anything else you enjoy eating. I don’t think there is a specific time to best eat them but I do know that the morning drink is very helpful.
